Hello!
My Name is Andres
Strategic Product Leader Building Fun & Impactful Digital Experiences
For nearly 20 years, I've been driving innovation in e-commerce, hiring & leading high performing teams, boosting revenue at both large companies and startups. I turn business challenges into opportunities, using data and a focus on user experience to create digital products that meet business goals and delight customers.
I'm a firm believer in the power of collaboration and fostering a culture of experimentation to achieve extraordinary results.
At Publix Technology (Publix Super Markets), I had the exciting opportunity of building the company's first digital product team from the ground up. The result? A group of high performing professionals in UX Design, Product Analytics, Experimentation, and Product Management that drove a record-breaking surge in digital revenue, with triple-digit growth since inception.
It's been a wild ride of launching new digital experiences, from brand new merchandizing capabilities, to personalized homepages, to Ai in Search using LLMs, to an online ordering app that makes grabbing a Sub as easy as tapping "Buy Now".
At Walmart.com, I dove deep into the world of semantic search, leading the charge on developing next-gen e-commerce semantic search. Our goal: enable customers to find exactly what they need, using natural language and provide them relevant and accurate results that leveraged our retail graph of product attributes.
As part of a team of about 300 search professionals, I was honered to lead a brilliant group of Product Managers, PhD data scientists and engineers. We were able to drive significant innovation in the Search space that trully set Walmart.com ahead of the competition.
My time at Jet was a real blast with un-matched moments of exciting learning opportunities. From designing world-class cureated experiences in Electronics, Grocery, Fashion, and Home, to piloting a unique white glove in-home service experience.
As Director of Category Experience - Electronics and Entertainment, my team and I had the opportunity to focus on innovation and product discovery, collaborating with UX, design, and research teams to shape the Jet.com e-commerce experience making the $3.3 billion acquisition a value-packed asset for Walmart.com.
As Lead of Growth Product and Head of SEO my team focused on launching Jet 2.0, a unique customer-centric shopping experience, focused on 1-hour grocery delivery in the New York City area. We spearheaded initiatives to boost site speed (working closely with Walmart & Google) and enhance site visibility through strategic SEO and content partnerships.
Amazon, Quidsi, and B&H Photo Video are some of the other amazing companies I've had the pleasure to work with. Reach out and say hello. I'll tell you all about them.
